Zafer International Airport has been planned in line with the regional aviation policies, for the purpose of meeting the transportation needs of Kütahya, Afyonkarahisar, and Uşak provinces. Zafer International Airport, which was constructed by IC İÇTAŞ İNŞAAT, is the first regional airport of Turkey and also is the first private sector financed (BOT model) Green Field Airport Project of Turkey. Despite the contractual investment period of 36 months, the airport was successfully completed in 18 months and put into service.
Within the Airport, which will be operated by IC IÇTAŞ İNŞAAT till the year of 2044, there are:
- 3.000 meters long and 45 meters wide concrete runway, equipped with technical devices to ensure take off and landing under any weather conditions;
- Access Taxiway;
- Apron with a capacity of 5 airplanes;
- Terminal Building with a closed area of 17,600 square meters and other complementary units, which has technical capacity to host both domestic and international flights.
